GAMING LEGEND JACK BINION TEAMS UP WITH ELDORADO RESORT CASINO SHREVEPORT

Gaming industry legend Jack Binion became president of Binion's Horseshoe Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas at the age of 26. In 1970, he hosted the first World Series of Poker, which became the world’s largest poker tournament. Binion expanded the Horseshoe brand to regional casinos, including the Bossier City location, building a world-class gaming company under the Horseshoe name. Mr. Binion was inducted into the American Gaming Association's Gaming Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Poker Hall of Fame in 2005. Joining Mr. Binion will be Eldorado Resorts founder Don Carano, Eldorado Resorts CEO Gary Carano, and other key Eldorado Resorts team members.

     

WHAT:

 

The legendary man of gaming is joining the legendary family of gaming. Eldorado Resort Casino Shreveport, and Eldorado Resorts’ founders, the Carano family, will be welcoming Jack Binion for a reception, dinner and charity check presentation.

     
   

The exclusive, invitation-only event will allow over 200 honored, long-time guests from across the country to meet and mingle with Jack Binion and the Carano family.

     
   

Invitees will enjoy a private meet and greet with Mr. Binion in Eldorado Shreveport’s Allure Ultra Lounge from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. During the 7:30 p.m. dinner, Binion and Eldorado Shreveport General Manager, Mike Whitemaine, will present $10,000 in donations to The Institute for Global Outreach’s “Walk For Humanity” and the Odyssey Foundation Autism Resource Center.

“Walk For Humanity” took place earlier in April on Shreveport’s Clyde Fant Parkway, and is The Institute for Global Outreach’s largest fundraiser. Contributions will support the organization’s mission of alleviating the suffering of children and families worldwide through nutrition, education, shelter and more. Odyssey Foundation Autism Resource Center sponsors local initiatives and activities that focus attention on childhood obesity, illness, and individuals with autism spectrum disorders and their families.
