To kick off opening weekend  at the 2013 World Series of Poker in grand style, Event #6 ($1,500 No-Limit Hold'em) started on Saturday, June 1st with a one-day start, two-flight No-Limit Hold'em event, where the winner will receive $1.19 million!  The tournament will last one day longer than planned due to the enormous turnout of  potential new millionaires in this popular new event.

WHO: 

There were 6,344 entries, breaking the previous record for a one-day start poker tournament by a whopping 53 percent  and earning a place in history as the 8^th largest poker tournament ever held.

To date, the World Series of Poker has created a staggering 257 millionaires and multimillionaires, with one more soon to come.

Final play will end Tuesday, June 4^th late at night with the official gold bracelet and award ceremony to be held Wednesday, June 5^th at approximately 2:15 p.m. in the Brasila Room of Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino
